Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets are normally $22 and include spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. To meet the pets, visit the San Marcos Regional Animal in person from noon-7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon-5 p.m. on Saturdays, or online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/adopt to choose a pet and fill out an online adoption application. Then, give the shelter a call at 512.805.2650 or email [email protected]. 'As a reporter for the Record, I get to go to a lot of really cool, interesting places and events and meet some amazing people. So there are many work memories I will cherish from 2023. However, visiting the ¡Viva Terlingua! exhibit with two of the band members from Jerry Jeff Walker and the Lost Gonzo Band, bass player Bob Livingston and guitarist Craig Hillis, and the Wittliff Collections Texas Music Curator Hector Saldana has to be one of my top moments.

The ink was barely dry on a law signed by Gov. Greg Abbott that makes unauthorized entry into the United States a state crime before a lawsuit was filed by civil rights groups and El Paso County challenging its constitutionality. The Austin American- Statesman reported the suit was filed in an Austin federal court by the ACLU and two immigrant advocacy groups on behalf of the county.
