Maria M. Saldaña, 63, of Lockhart, Texas, died on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in Lockhart, with a prayer service to take place at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 19 at 10 a.m. at at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart with interment to follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Patricia Helene Hager, 65, of San Marcos, Texas died on Sunday, September 6, 2020. A memorial service was held at Grace Bible Church in San Marcos on Saturday, September 12. Gilbert B. Bermudez, Sr., 64, of Lockhart, Texas, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Alma “Jean” Walker Horn was born on the 27th of November, 1929 and passed from this earth on Sunday morning, August 16th, 2020, at the age of 90. She was born to Abe and Florence Walker in the West Texas oilfield town of Wink. The family moved to Odessa, Texas, where she graduated from high school in 1946 before heading off to college at Abilene Christian College, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. While there, she met her love, Herman Horn. After graduation and his completion of service in the Army, they were married in Odessa, Texas, in 1952. Herman and Jean moved to Port Arthur, Texas, where he took a job with Gulf Oil and she taught kindergarten. Soon Herman and Jean purchased their first home in Port Neches, Texas, just down the road.

Sharry Kay Wells Rathburn, of San Marcos, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at age 74 on Monday, September 7, 2020, in her hometown of Pasadena, Texas. She was born January 18, 1946, in Houston, Texas, the oldest daughter of Albert Lee Wells and Willie Fay Corder Wells.

Judith Ann Czop neé Pulkowski, 77, of San Marcos, Texas, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wimberley, Texas on Friday, September 4.
