Texas State’s Department of Theatre and Dance has revised dates for three of its spring shows.

“Father Comes Home from the Wars”

The comedy play, “Clue: On Stage” opens on the Wimberley Players stage Feb.18 and runs through March 13. From the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, “Clue” is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery featuring many of Wimberley Player’s well-loved actors. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party with murder and blackmail on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by the butler Wadsworth, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard, all race to find the killer as the bodies stack up. “Clue” is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out… who did it, where, and with what.

When Rebecca Bowman and Veronique Hahn collaborate together, the outcome is something like magic. Whimsical and innocent, the author and artist have created a variety of art books together — from children's books to ekphrastic poetry collections — and look forward to making more.

In January 2015, a handful of people in San Marcos learned of a nationwide program called GriefShare, a support group for those who have lost a spouse, a child or a friend. As they personally understood the mental and physical trauma of losing a loved one, whether it was anticipated or a complete surprise, the group decided they would welcome the opportunity to begin the program in San Marcos.
