Reynaldo Perez, Jr., age 68, passed away peacefully August 10, 2020. He was born November 13, 1951, in San Marcos, Texas to Josephina Vasquez Perez and Reynaldo Perez, Sr. He was a loving father, provider, and confidante to those who held him dear to their hearts.

In his youth, Ray spent time engaged in San Marcos community baseball, football, and Boy Scouts of America. As a young man he worked many odd jobs; however, it wouldn’t be long before his larger than life personality would lead him down a lifelong career in sales where Ray would consistently thrive as a top performer.

Ray traveled down an unknown road during his midlife and lost his way but would soon retrace his steps to return home to his family. He spent his later years reflecting, evolving, and growing new relationships while repairing old. His most cherished moments were those spent visiting with his children, grandchildren and with his best friend.

Ray was an outgoing man who enjoyed all people; he never met a person that he didn’t know. He cherished being an active member of his community with his church, his home, and with his neighbors. To his children, he was the embodiment of strength, tenacity, discipline, and drive. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Ray’s life was a living example of bible verse Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Ray is survived by his adult children Robert Ray, Belinda, and David James, his seven grandchildren, his dog/companion Rosco, and lastly, his best friend/mother of his children, Susie. He is preceded in death by his mother, Josephina Vasquez Perez, his father, Reynaldo Perez, Sr., sisters Mary and Guadalupe, and lastly his brother Johnny.
