Richard Ybarra Piña, 60, of San Marcos, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 27, 2020.
He was one of eight children born to Julian Piña, Sr. and Lupe Ybarra Piña. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Robert Perez.
Richard will be remembered by his children Lisa Piña (Adam), Ricardo Piña, Jr., and Isaiah R. Piña, as well as his grandchildren Chastity, Larry, Damien Garcia, Adalisa, Natalia, Adam Jaimes, Jr., and Ricardo Piña III. He is survived by his siblings Joe Piña, Sr. (Margie), Ofelia Perez, Johnny Piña Sr. (Yolanda), Julia Rivas (Frank), Julian Piña, Jr. (Bertha), Rosa Piña, and Josie P. Gonzales (Andrew), plus numerous nephews and nieces.
Richard was a lifetime welder and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his late girlfriend Joann Jimenez.
Pallbearers include Larry and Damien Garcia, Adam Jaimes, Sr., Johnny Piña, Jr., David Barrientos, and Joe Esquivel. Honorary pallbearers include Adam Jaimes, Jr., Ricardo Piña III, and Candelario Esquivel, Jr.
Visitation will take place at Thomason Funeral Home on Monday, August 10 from 9 to 10 a.m. Services will follow. Interment will take place at the San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
