San Marcos Academy (5-0, 5-0 district) picked up its fifth win of the season on Tuesday, defeating San Antonio Atonement Academy at home, 8-2.
The two goals scored by the Crusaders were the first the Bears allowed in any game this season, shutting out opponents in their first four games. Junior Evan Schawe picked up his second hat trick of the year, scoring three goals during the match. Senior Ayo Adenkunle, juniors Muassiri Almeida and Delani Osunsedo, sophomore Inaki Infante and freshman Malachi Deoliveira all contributed with one goal each. Almeida led the squad with two assists. Senior goalkeeper Micah Burton saved three shots.
SMA returns to the pitch on Thursday at 7 p.m., taking on John Paul II in New Braunfels.
