Austin Wrestling Revolution ending hunger one slam at a time

Looking to make a difference in the community, Austin Wrestling Revolution has set a goal to collect at least 100 canned food items or nonperishables to help fight hunger in Hays County.

On Dec. 6 from 8- 10:30 p.m. at Hops & Grain San Marcos, 110 E. MLK Dr., Austin Wrestling Revolution will contribute to ending hunger one slam at a time with an action-packed wrestling show full of surprises.

“Last year we hosted a toy drive for the holidays and gathered about 115 toys that benefited a kids that might not have the same opportunities as others,” said Chayo Rosario Rodriguez, Austin Wrestling Revolution promoter. “This year its San Marcos’ turn to come together with Austin Wrestling Revolution for a good cause.”

Tickets are $10 and those that bring a canned food item or nonperishable food item will receive $3 off their ticket. All food will benefit the Hays County Food Bank.

The show will be appropriate for all ages. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets available at eventbrite.
