Air Force JROTC Cadets from San Marcos High School selected the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC) as one of their primary community service partners for fall semester of 2018. To raise awareness of domestic violence, Cadets organized a party with a purpose: “The Boo Bash 4 Cash.” All proceeds from this Halloween dance were donated to the HCWC Additionally, during the month of November, Cadets organized a unit competition to collect toiletries and other items for donation.
With the oversized check are Francisco Hernandez, Jason Rodriguez, Gabriel Peralta, Renato Ruiz, Zoe O’Balle, Cari Borremans, Lilliana Martinez, Richard Duarte, Zac Seaton and John Suarez.
Altogether, the Air Force JROTC Corps of Cadets collected more than $3,000 in cash and supplies in support of the HCWC. Representatives Cari Borremans, Zoe O’Balle and Nathan Thompson were present to accept the donation(s).
