The Texas Association of Mexican Amercian Chambers of Commerce is set to host the 44th Annual Hispanic Business Convention on Thursday - Saturday.
The event will be held at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel Spa and Conference Center, beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday and ending Saturday night with a gala and awards banquet.
The convention will hold business and professional development workshops that will show how to grow a business and expand a network of professional contacts. Workshops included Magic Words That Get More Sales; Video Marketing 101; U.S. Small Businesses; Facebook for your Business; Legal Mistakes You Can Easily Avoid, What is Your Superpower?
There will be a convention trade show, the TAMACC Annual Meeting, Latina Empowerment Luncheon on Friday and the Chairman’s Gala and Award Dinner on Saturday night, which will honor the businessmen/women of the year, Chambers of the Year and recognizing Texas State Senator Royce West and Texas State Representative Richard Pena Raymond as Legislators of the Year.
Featured speakers include James Edward Campos, the director of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity at the United States Department of Energy, Justice Gisela D. Triana. appellate judge and Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra.

As the first Hispanic Hays County Judge, I am grateful for the opportunity to share our culture in a positive and encouraging light,” Becerra said in a statement. “Together, we can better equip ourselves with the tools and resources needed to adapt and thrive in the rapidly changing economic climate.”
The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) organization, which was created in 1975 to promote business leadership, create economic prospects and provide legislative advocacy for the Hispanic business community in Texas. TAMACC's headquarters is in Buda.
