The piano students of Dr. Karen Munson performed their spring recital for the year and awards were presented.
Sarah Johnson earned an excellent rating and ribbon in the district festival sponsored by the Texas Federation of Music Clubs and a superior rating and certificate in the auditions held by the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
Macrina and Theodora Anitei sang a vocal ensemble for the group. Following Macrina Anitei's piano performance, she received a superior ribbon from the TFMC district festival and a superior rating and certificate for her NGPT audition.
Sabrina Zheng was awarded a gold medal for her score of 99 in the Texas Music Teachers Association state-wide theory test, a superior ribbon in the TFMC district festival and an outstanding student ribbon in the TFMC state festival competition.
Sabrina is also a recipient of a third gold cup representing nine consecutive years of superior ratings in the TFMC district festivals.
