The San Marcos Pinto All-Stars won the Hays Youth Baseball Softball Association Championship on Sunday after going undefeated in the eight-and-under Sandlot Tournament in Buda.
San Marcos was one of five teams in the tournament that included Dripping Springs-Blanford, Dripping Springs-Austin, Hays Hype 7U and Hays Hype 8U. The Pinto All-Stars defeated Hays Hype 8U in the championship game, 10-4.
The San Marcos Pinto All-Stars will play in their first qualifying tournament in San Marcos next week, from June 13-17.
