The Just For Fun Parade has been occurring annually for 46 years. According to the Visit San Marcos website, the parade is just as the name suggests, just for fun. Participants wore their wildest outfits and walked or rode on wheels of any kind: roller skates, bikes, strollers and scooters. This year even had a person in a shopping cart. The parade started at 10 a.m. at Children’s Park and moved through downtown spreading cheer and fun. Many participants stop at the Showdown afterward for a beer. Daily Record photos by Shannon West
