San Marcos and Clemens ended their spring break clash this week as the Rattlers defeated Buffaloes 3-0.

This comes after the Rattlers lost to the Buffaloes last Tuesday on a walk-off sacrifice fly 1-0.

Starting pitcher Vlario Prado earned the win for the Rattlers throwing a complete game shutout allowing just three hits, no runs, no walks and striking out six batters.

After being shutout in their last game against Clemens, San Marcos got to work early putting runners on second and first following a single by outfielder Tony Diaz and a forced walk by outfielder Kutter Gage Webb.

Third baseman Dylan Nunez scored Diaz at second with RBI single to put the Rattlers up 1-0.

San Marcos struck again in the fourth inning with runners on corners.

A dropped third strike by Clemens allowed base runner Judah Pigg to score as San Marcos now led 2-0.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Webb lead off with triple before scoring on a sac fly by Nunez extending the lead to 3-0.

Prado closed out the top of the seventh inning for the Rattlers with a perfect 1-2-3 inning to seal the win.

San Marcos returns to play Tuesday night when the Rattlers travel to Converse for a showdown with the Judson Rockets.

First pitch set for 7 p.m.
