Often, we invite our listeners and supporters to come and join our radio family. Our meetings are always open to the public, and our radio hosts are generally available to answer questions you may have. Although, we are always happy to welcome ideas and candidates to produce their own show, being part of our family does not require any time in front of a microphone. As with any other organization, support staff is just as vital to the daily operation of any business.
Opportunities exist for individuals who possess clerical and administrative, as well as I.T. and other technical skills to help community radio serve the needs of our community. Previous radio experience is not required (just ask our radio staff!)
Join us at Jack’s Roadhouse on June 7 and 8 for Metal Fest 2019. Metal Mark, the God-Son of Heavy Metal, will host another head-banging extravaganza! Eat, drink, and Bang Your Head with us! Jack’s will donate a portion of the food and drink sales to KZSM Community Radio.
Change is inevitable. Third Thursday’s Kissing Alley Concert Series will be moving to Second Saturdays on the courthouse lawn to follow Art Squared. We appreciate the support we have received, and we thank all the performers that helped to make the Kissing Alley concerts “a thing!” We will keep you informed on upcoming performances as the information becomes available.
Summer is here, what do you with the kids? DJ 101 for teens will be held once again at the public library later in the summer. Learn about producing and broadcasting your own program. The possibility exists of hosting their own radio show!
If your organization has an event or function that serves the community and that you would care to have promoted on your true community radio station, please let us know. Public Service Announcements are an integral part of our service to the community. Also, if you like what you hear from us and would like to support us but don’t have the time or the energy, sponsorships and underwriting opportunities are available.
