Following a successful presentation last fall, ARIA members used survey data gathered from the previous workshop attendees to develop the slate of topics for this one. The February 16 offering will cover: Healthy living habits, Detecting falls in real-world settings, Memory changes with age, and Strategies to improve cognitive health.

“The attendance and feedback after the fall offering made it clear we needed to keep this series going,” said Clay DeStefano, Executive Director, who will also be a presenter as this session.

Speakers set for the Feb 16 session are Dr. Anne Ngu, Professor of Computer Science, Dr. Kyong Hee Chee, Professor of Sociology, Dr. Rebecca Deason, Associate Professor of Psychology, Dr. Ranjini Mohan, Associate Professor Communication Disorders, and Clay DeStefano, Executive Director of the Price Center. A break mid-way through the workshop will feature easy stretching exercises conducted by Anna Broome, RT, owner and operator of SMTX Yoga. After their individual presentations, speakers will be also available to answer questions pertaining to these and other issues related to healthy aging. Refreshments will be provided.

Refreshments will be served, and all are encouraged to attend. The session is free; however, preregistration is requested. Please email [email protected] to reserve your spot.
