The city of San Marcos’ new Economic and Business Development Manager Christian Smith is slated to be guest speaker at the Wednesday, Oct. 25, regular meeting of the Rotary Club of San Marcos.
The meeting will start at noon at the Texas Roadhouse, located at 1502 I-35 Frontage Road.
According to the club’s most recent newsletter, much of what Smith does is designed to facilitate additional city support for small businesses, as well as to work to attract new companies into the city.
Each of these goals also contributes to creating new jobs for local residents.
During his presentation, Smith will discuss several new programs that city officials are bringing into existence that are part of a larger plan to encourage and support local businesses.
