Connie Rodriguez Gonzalez, 55, left this world to be with the Lord on Monday, April 22, 2019. Connie was born on September 27, 1963, to Angel and Victoria Rodriguez. Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and an avid Oakland Raider fan. Most dear to her heart was her family. She loved spending time with her family especially her six grandchildren. Her entire family will miss her dearly and will always carry her in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents Angel and Victoria Rodriguez, sisters Ramona Urrutia, Celia Gutierrez, and her brother Robert Rodriguez. Surviving is her husband David Gonzalez, married for 28 years but together for 38 years. Two sons Carlos Rodriguez and Shawn David Gonzalez; daughter Crystal Lynn Gonzalez (C.J.); grandchildren Carlos Angel Rodriguez, Mercedes Brianna Rodriguez, Aaliyah Faith Gonzalez, Hazel Jane Gonzalez, Aliena Lilly Gonzalez, and Delilah Grace Gonzalez. She is also survived by her sisters Julia Gallegos, Janie Gonzalez (Jesus), Angelita Rangel (Pablo); brother Joe Rodriguez (Margaret); sister in law Diana Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos, Texas. A Rosary will be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at St. John’s Catholic Church in San Marcos, Texas. Burial will follow at the San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas. Pallbearers will be Robert Miranda, Shawn Gonzalez, Vincent Rodriguez, Chris Rodriguez, and Eddie Gallegos.
