Q. How should I address a letter to the Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives?

A. We are always happy to help people with contact information for our elected officials. My research brought up several similar forms of address for our Texas Speaker of the House.

On the envelope, I’d suggest this format: The Honorable Dennis Bonnen / Speaker of the House / Texas House of Representatives / P.O. Box 2910 / Austin, TX 78768.

On the top of the letter itself, you would use the same mailing address format. Then the salutation would be either “Dear Speaker Bonnen” or “Dear Mr. Speaker.”
