Heritage Society to host End of Year Sale Nov. 13

Treasures will be flying out the door again during the End of the Year Heritage Treasure Sale in the Cottage Kitchen on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

At the previous sale, buyers were lined up on the sidewalk at 9 a.m. waiting to get inside. By the end of the day, rooms were well picked over so the Heritage Society has replenished its inventory with new donations after each sale, including new and vintage furnishings, jewelry, art, collectibles, books, crystal, fine linen, toys, lamps, ladies apparel, men’s shirts, china, kitchenware, patio furniture, Christmas decor and so much more.

The Heritage Society survived by adapting to change. The Cottage Kitchen was briefly transformed into a boutique after the society lost its Friday luncheons due to the pandemic. Beginning Dec. 1, however, the Cottage Kitchen will be available again as a quaint venue to rent for showers, birthdays, and other parties. Sponsors can also arrange to support the cottage for Friday luncheons beginning in February 2022. Contact Marianne Moore to schedule your next event: 512-665-6048.

Don’t miss this opportunity to shop for high-end goods at modest prices. Everything must go as the Heritage Society prepares to return the Cottage Kitchen back to its original 1976 café. While visiting the sale, stop by the historic Merriman Cabin, which will be open for a free tour with society docents.

This event is free and open to the public, hosted by the Heritage Association of San Marcos, a non-profit organization located at 400 E. Hopkins Street.
