Maurice T. Suttles VFW Post 3413, Commander Stephanie Brown worked to put out the word in the community for people that were without water and now broken pipes.
In the aftermath of February’s freeze, Brown said, “We have water on boil, water to fill up your jugs for home use, hot coffee, and some limited food for disbursement. We are open to assist."
San Marcos Food Bank dropped off bottled water and food for the VFW Post on Hunter Road to pass out and fill up water jugs.
Sister Brook Patrick, Sister Lydia Turner, Sister Morgan Wellman, Sister Kali O'Fahengave came to help out to let the community know the VFW had food and water to share.
